Sunday Lunch Menu

A particular favourite here at Clarkes Restaurant is our Sunday Lunch.

We offer a choice of four starters, 3 Main courses; Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding together with another roast e.g. Pork, Lamb,Turkey etc.  The third main course choice is usually a fish dish. We also offer a vegetarian main course option.  Guests with special any dietary requirements can easily be catered for. Please advise us of your requirements when booking.

Desserts are a sumptuous affair, our sweet trolley laden with a wide selection of home-made desserts is offered to each guest at their table and for those of you that can manage it, a second sweet is available at no extra charge!

A selection of local and continental cheeses followed by a piping hot cup of freshly brewed coffee or tea and mints will conclude a meal that will leave you anticipating your next visit to us.

Sunday Luncheon is served 12.30 – 1.00 p.m.

EXAMPLE SUNDAY LUNCH MENU

Home made roasted sweet tomato soup topped with homemade pesto

Strawberries and raspberries encased in sparkling asti rosé jelly, drizzled with elderflower syrup

Fresh crab and prawn salad with cucumber spaghetti and lemon crème fraiche

Lemongrass chicken with beansprouts and sugarsnaps drizzled with garlic and coriander cream and dusted with coconut

 Roasted topside of black beef and Yorkshire pudding

Roasted loin of old spot pork with celeriac, shallot stuffing and black pepper crackling

Pan fried seabass with watercress, lime and cumin cream

Vegetable lasagne with vine tomatoes

 Served with Carrots and parsnips in chive butter, Cauliflower cheese, Mixed beans tossed in sesame seeds, Baby new potatoes and Roast potatoes

Home baked lemon tart with fresh raspberries

Triple chocolate cheesecake with white chocolate sauce

 Crème brulee infused with orange and Blossom honey

Strawberry and vanilla mille feuille with strawberry syrup and lemon sherbet

Whilst every care is taken, some dishes may contain a trace of nuts. We make every effort to source only the finest fresh, local ingredients

 

In additional to Sunday Lunch, we also offer traditional Sunday Roast Dinner – served from 6.00pm on Sundays.

Like the Sunday Lunch already offered, the menu would include a choice of starters, main courses and desserts.  A cheese course and tea and coffee will follow.
